Open Eyes Meditation is an important form of practice that we do. In a state deeply centered state of energy flow and awareness, the teacher relates with total openness and compassion to participants. Students sit and work inside while opening to and tuning into the state of the teacher. This has a subtle but profound impact on the student's own state of being. To the degree the student opens to the contact, his or her experience of the basic life force is awakened. The process melts inner tensions and blocks, leading to a deeper sense of energy flow and awareness.
After some practice, we can begin to experience the energetic cause behind our existence. We can begin to sense the fundamental oneness permeating all of life. We begin to recognize that we are one with everyone and everything, and that all existence is rooted in the same creative force that we experience in ourselves. This experience of oneness gives rise to a natural joy and compassion for others.
Shaktipat refers to the conferring of spiritual "energy" upon one person by another. Shaktipat can be transmitted with a sacred word or mantra, or by a look, thought or touch – the last usually to the ajna chakra or third eye of the recipient
